DriveTest has announced it intends to reopen on June 22, 2020. The Ontario Safety League has announced it intends to begin to allow facilities to operate Air Brake Endorsement Courses starting June 16, 2020. RICHARDS Truck Driving School is planning to reopen on June 15, 2020 at 10:00am. During the first week we will operate on shortened hours of 10am to 5pm Monday through Friday and with no in-person visits allowed. All students who had their training interrupted as a result of COVID-19 will be prioritized. We have not yet received a plan from DriveTest as to how students who had tests cancelled will be re-booked but hopefully a road map will be provided shortly.
A planned preliminary reopening date by the ministry has been pushed to approximately June 15, 2020.
A return to service plan has been submitted to the ministry. This plan would put DriveTest performing the first road tests in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2020. The school plans to re-open 2 weeks prior to first tests, making a preliminary reopening date June 1, 2020.
DriveTest has a revised resumption of service date planned for June 1, 2020.

DriveTest has advised that the current date for resumption of testing is May 5, 2020. They have stated that they will confirm this date no less than 10 days prior.
